Asian Heritage Collective began when our founder, Mr. Yan noticed that there were less students year after year in the Chinese school he works at. There were less and less youth interested in learning about where they came from, and who they are. From there, he started the journey of educating kids on their heritage.

Asian Heritage Collective offers youth-led programs that celebrate Asian culture through creativity, dialogue, and artistic expression. So far, we offer three programs:
Music Ensemble - brings together Asian youth musicians to perform, showcasing traditional and contemporary Asian music.
Culture Talks - a public speaking initiative where youth share stories, histories, and perspectives on Asian identity.
YoungArts - empowers young artists to create visual and creative works inspired by Asian culture.
Cultural education builds confidence, belonging, and understanding. When young people are given the space to engage with their heritage, they gain a stronger sense of self and a deeper respect for others.
Asian Heritage Collective ensures that Asian culture is lived : through creativity, dialogue, and community service led by youth.

Asian Heritage Collective is run entirely by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about celebrating and preserving Asian culture and heritage. Our volunteers are primarily high school students who bring energy, creativity, and a strong commitment to community service. We welcome students of all backgrounds. While many of our volunteers have personal connections to Asian heritage, we believe cultural appreciation thrives through openness, too.
All volunteers complete required background checks and training to ensure a safe, responsible, and supportive environment for everyone we serve.
Asian Heritage Collective is invested in maintaining full transparency, integrity, and honesty in how it operates.
Asian Heritage Collective received the Bronze seal in it's founding year, 2024
Asian Heritage Collective now has the Silver Seal of Transparency, held since 2025
Whether you are a student, educator, artist, or supporter, there are many ways to be part of Asian Heritage Collective. We can certify and sign off on volunteer hours, and members with 10+ hours are considered for board positions.
